Brimstone Hill Fortress

Kelly Rogers USA - 19-Feb-19

We visited this site on the last day of a week long visit to Nevis.  It is not the most well-preserved colonial fort in the Caribbean, but there is a lot of interesting history here.  The fort is difficult to access. Unless you have a car, you need a taxi or a tour.  There is an audio tour for $10 US that is very informative, but probably overpriced.  It is also $10 US per person to enter the site.  The view is breathtaking!  It would take a few hours to wander around and see everything at a leisurely pace.

Blue and John Crow Mountains

Kelly Rogers USA - 31-Jan-19

We visited Blue and Crow Mountains in November 2017.  We hired a driver to take us from Port Antonio and we are very glad that we did.  Some of the roads were not in great shape and we got to gape at the stunning scenery.  We were told that the "good road"  will be completed all the way to the northern part of the island eventually.  It was complete from Kingston to the National Park when we went.  This would be the only part I would be willing to drive if I had a rental.
