The Danube Limes (Croatia)

.

Frontiers of the Roman Empire – The Danube Limes (Croatia) is part of the Tentative list of Croatia in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List. It is a proposed extension of Danube Limes WHS.

The Danuble Limes in Croatia comprises 23 locations. The Roman military installations were as far as 17 km away from the Danube riverbed. This proposal will possibly be an extension of the Danube Limes nomination of Austria/Germany/Slovakia, or will join that effort when renominated.
