Fann mountains

Fann mountains is part of the Tentative list of Tajikistan in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List. It is a proposed extension of WHS.

Fann mountains is a national park in the Zerafshan and Hissar mountains range with a concentration of seven peaks above 5000 meters. It a unique and beautiful mountain landscape with pristine moraine lakes (including Iskanderkul Lake where local legend says Alexander’s horse Bucephalus died) , endemic species of plants and endangered mammals species including the snow leopard and the Asian moufflon.
