Velebit Mountain
Velebit Mountain is part of the Tentative list of Croatia in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Velebit Mountain comprises a mountain range in the Dinaric Alps. It is a karst landscape, showing features like caves and underground lakes. The site includes both Paklenica and Sjeverni Velebit National Parks, plus a series of smaller protected areas. Hajducki and Rožanski kukovi Strict Reserve shows vertical pits up to over 1km deep.
