Selected for the "Preserving Legacies" project
WHS selected for monitoring as part of the "Preserving Legacies: A Future for Our Past" project. A joint project by National Geographic and Manulife of Canada "to safeguard several historical and culturally significant heritage sites from the impacts of climate change and to protect the physical, cultural, and financial well-being of the communities that depend on those sites for their livelihood and connection to their past." Suggestions?
Do you know of another WHS we could connect to Selected for the "Preserving Legacies" project?
A connection should:
- Not be "self evident"
- Link at least 3 different sites
- Not duplicate or merely subdivide the "Category" assignment already identified on this site.
- Add some knowledge or insight (whether significant or trivial!) about WHS for the users of this site
- Be explained, with reference to a source
