Kebun Raya Bogor
Kebun Raya Bogor is part of the Tentative list of Indonesia in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Bogor Botanic Gardens is the preeminent place for plant conservation in Indonesia. Founded in 1817, it is the oldest in South East Asia. In addition to the study of tropical plants, the garden also has played an important role in industrial plant acclimatization of notably the oil palm tree. 3700 ‘heritage trees’ can be found on its grounds.
