Baptism Site “Eshria’a” (Al-Maghtas) is part of the Tentative list of Palestine in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

The Baptism Site “Eshria’a” is a pilgrimage site where, according to Christian tradition, Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist. The site is located on the western bank of the Jordan River opposite to the already inscribed WHS "Baptism Site "Bethany Beyond the Jordan" (Jordan).
