Mausoleum of "Khoja Mashkhad" is part of the Tentative list of Tajikistan in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Mausoleum of "Khoja Mashkhad" (also included in the serial nomination “Silk Road Sites in Tajikistan”) is a rare example of a pre-Mongol madrasah from the 9th and 12th Centuries. Two large, domed mausoleum are connected at the middle by a small arch, constructed of mud-brick. In the premise are also mosques and narrow cells believed to be students’ accommodation. It is still nowadays a popular pilgrimage site.
