Grottes de Matupi
Grottes de Matupi is part of the Tentative list of Congo (Democratic Republic) in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Grottes de Matupi is one of the major archaeological sites in sub-Saharan Africa. It has yielded a sequence of occupation spanning more than 40,000 years. The cave contains some of the oldest evidence in the world for microlithic tools.
