Gcwihaba Caves

Gcwihaba Caves is part of the Tentative list of Botswana in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List. It is a proposed extension of WHS.

The Gcwihaba Caves comprise 6 cave systems with a diversity in cave formations and a high density of fossils. They are part of rare and remote dolomite hills in the Kalahari desert landscape. In their pristine condition they have preserved a paleo-climatic record of the Kalahari.
