Fell and Pali Aike Caves

Fell and Pali Aike Caves is part of the Tentative list of Chile in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

The Fell and Pali Aike Caves are two caves that were used as temporary camps by Paleonindian hunters-pickers. Tools and animal remains (including that of now extinct fauna such as the native American horse) have been found. The oldest tools are dated back to 11,000 BP. The caves are located in the volcanic steppe of southern Patagonia.
