Karaftoo

Natural-Historical Complex / Cave of Karaftoo is part of the Tentative list of Iran in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Karaftoo is a giant limestone rock. The cave has been inhabited, at the third floor of the cave rooms and ceilings have been carved out. The cave complex dates back to the 3rd or 4th century BC and is of major importance due to its Greek inscription.
