Photo in the Public Domain.

Karakorum-Pamir is part of the Tentative list of China in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

The Pamirs is the largest mountain convergence zone that was formed by the convergence of the Tianshan Mountains, the Kalakunlun Mountains, the Himalayas, the Hindu Kush Mountains and the Jierter-Sulaiman Mountains. This area is a concentrated area of modern glaciers of various types and on a huge scale. Complex migrations and combinations of biota in this region comprise a unique plateau flora and fauna.
