Fort Shirley is part of the Tentative list of Dominica in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Fort Shirley is a fortification system of British and French origin, best known for its 1802 revolt of African slave soldiers. It was built on a site important for the indigenous Kalinago population. The fort was designed in Georgian style and is located in an extinct volcanic crater.
