Niani

Niani, cité médiévale, ancienne capitale de l'empire du Mali is part of the Tentative list of Guinea in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
The remains of the medieval city of Niani bear testimony to the Mali Empire that ruled the region in the 14th century. The town was centered around the palace of the emperor, with others living areas corresponding to their social status.
