The La Venta Konzentrat-Lagerstätte: a Neotropical moist forest biome of the middle Miocene is part of the Tentative list of Colombia in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
The La Venta Konzentrat-Lagerstätte holds a fossil record of a Neotropical terrestrial ecosystem from the Miocene. It includes the well-preserved remains of fish, reptiles and mammals such as bats and rodents.
