Al Khandaq Village is part of the Tentative list of Sudan in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Al Khandaq Village is a Nubian town of two-storey mud-brick buildings. It dates from the 18th century. It also has an important fortress from the Christian period.
