Eocene Marine Biodiversity of the Alpone Valley is part of the Tentative list of Italy in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
The Eocene Marine Biodiversity of the Alpone Valley is fossil site of mostly marine origin. It consists of 39 fossil deposits from the Eocene era (56 - 34 million years ago). It includes the well-preserved fish of “Pesciara” of Bolca.
