Parc national de Waza
Parc national de Waza is part of the Tentative list of Cameroon in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Waza National Park (NP) is a 170,000 ha park in North Cameroon. It is characterized by the Sudano-Sahelian, semi-arid and tropical climate with a short rainy season (3-4 months) and a dry season of 8-9 months. Two types of vegetation dominate the park: floodplain and wooded vegetation. Wildlife counts 379 bird species an 30 mammal species. Its vegetation and its faunal diversity are the main claims of OUV.
