Myeik Archipelago is part of the Tentative list of Myanmar in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

The Myeik Archipelago comprises a coastal site with coral reefs, mangrove forests and seagrass beds. It includes over 800 islands. Marine wildlife includes the dugong, whale shark and various turtle species. It lies in the Andaman Sea region, which is considered a ‘gap’ in marine natural heritage on the World Heritage List.
