Con Moong Cave is part of the Tentative list of Viet Nam in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Con Moong Cave preserves a continuous prehistoric archaeological record of Southeast Asian peoples from the Old to the New Stone Age. Archaeologists have uncovered tombs and tools in the cave demonstrating the modernization of the culture from a hunter-gatherer lifestyle to an established agricultural lifestyle. Excavation and study of this cave began in 1976.
