Vallée des Cierges is part of the Tentative list of Mexico in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Vallée des Cierges is a desert nature reserve in Baja California with steep hills and valleys. The ecosystems are generally characterised by poor soils and a dry climate. These conditions have favoured the presence of well-adapted flora and fauna, including plants typical of the Sonora Desert as well as cirios, a tree species endemic to Baja California.
