Visis Cabá National park and Triangulo Ixil Vernacular Architecture is part of the Tentative list of Guatemala in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Visis Cabá National park is a biosphere reserve on the communal lands of the Ixil communities. It is a Humid Subtropical Forest. The towns of the Triángulo Ixil have preserved their traditions and architecture well.
