Fortress of Muxima
Fortress of Muxima has been part of the Tentative list of Angola.
The Fortress of Muxima is a late 16th century Portuguese fortress. It served as a warehouse for goods and a prison for slaves. During the Dutch invasion of Angola in 1641, it became a center of resistance and the population took refuge in the fortress.
