The Site of Thilkifl
The Site of Thilkifl is part of the Tentative list of Iraq in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
The Site of Thilkifl is believed by Jews and Muslims to be the tomb of the biblical prophet Ezekiel. A conical dome was erected over the shrine and a Shiite mosque built next to it. In addition to the tomb, an Ottoman market and four medieval khans are located at the site.
