Shahruhiya is part of the Tentative list of Uzbekistan in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Shahruhiya (also included in the serial nomination “Silk Roads Sites in Uzbekistan”) is the remain an ancient settlement in the Tashkent oasis consisting of fortress wall and citadel, first built in the 3rd century under the name of Benaket. After its destructions by the Mongols, the walls have been re-erected by Tamerlan and names after his son (Shahrun).
