Grotte de Taforalt is part of the Tentative list of Morocco in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

The cave of Taforalt is prehistoric archeological site from the Palaeolithic period. It is possibly the oldest cemetery in North Africa, with dozens of human burials from 15,100 to 14,000 years ago. The deep and highly stratified cave floor has yielded hearths, lithics, and shell beads, among a variety of artefacts of varying ages.
