Le site de Lougou
Le site de Lougou is part of the Tentative list of Niger in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
The Lougou site is an important place of worship related to the animist Saraounia queens. It comprises the site of the sacred stone of judgment, the site of the Azna cults of Jakouda, the cemetery of the queens, the site of the battle of 1899, and the current residence of Saraounia.
