Historical Features of the Tigris River in Baghdad Rusafa, which extends from the school Al-Mustansiriya to the Abbasid is part of the Tentative list of Iraq in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Al-Rusafa is an old quarter in Baghdad on the east side of the Tigris River that holds a number of monuments. The proposal includes six religious and administrative complexes from the 12th to the 19th centuries.
