Ryan Gentry
Hello, I'm Ryan Gentry, 24 from San Antonio, Texas, USA. I am a huge fan of the San Antonio Sprus and the Texas Rangers. After graduating college, I lived for a year in the buffer zone of the San Antonio Missions WHS.
I am a geographer by trade who is very interested in road travel as well as the intersection of geographic information systems (GIS) and tourism, especially as it pertains to routing. I am currently getting my MS in GIS from Johns Hopkins University. I joined this site in November 2025 and am currently helping add core zone polygons to the site's maps.
My favorite region to visit is Latin America; I am currently on a several year-long road trip through Mexico (where I have some distant family) and Central America. World Heritage Sites are one of many lists I'm obsessively trying to tick my way through, along with Mexico's 177 Pueblos Mágicos (Magical Towns), along with every state/province/equivalent in every country.
My favorite city to visit in the world: Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico
Favorite place I've ever visited: Death Valley National Park, California, USA
Favorite WHS I've visited: Old Havana, Cuba
Favorite TWHS I've visited: Las Pozas, Xilitla, Mexico (inscribe this site!!)
Suggest a WHS: Shrine of Imam Ali, Iraq, the most unique place I've visited so far
