Spain
Romanesque Cultural Enclave
Located on both sides of the Cantabrian Mountains, this region boasts the highest density of Romanesque monuments in Spain and Europe. Due to the constant territorial and political divisions these territories have suffered throughout history, there is no clearly marked stylistic unity.
