Mykolayiv Astronomical Observatory
The Mykolayiv Astronomical Observatory was founded in 1821 by the Imperial Russian Navy to support the Black Sea Fleet. The main observatory building was constructed in the style of Classicism. Historic astronomic instruments and a collection of astronomical clocks have also been preserved. The Mykolayiv Observatory is also part of the serial proposal Astronomical Observatories of Ukraine.
