The Panorama of the Battle of Waterloo is a particularly significant example of the panoramic paintings of the 19th century that meant to educate and entertain the general public. This oil on canvas painting from 1912 depicts several different scenes of the Battle of Waterloo. It is housed in an neoclassical rotunda.

Really cool to visit but believe that it should really be included in the Le champ de bataille de Waterloo tentative site, having both as separate ones in exactly the same seems like a long shot.

I have never stepped into a 360° panoramic picture before and upon visiting I was really impressed with it. It makes you feel like you’ve just jumped back centuries and was easily one of my highlights to Waterloo.

It is a very interesting site and of great importance to Europe history. Perhaps not special enough for the rest of the world. What a work to dig up the hill! As I remember, it was made in late 18-hundreds. Impressive.

But I do not think it is good enough for to become a WHS.

I visited this site a couple of times. It is interesting to visit when combined with the museum just opposite and the Waterloo mound next to it. However, it seems to me quite a tall order to consider it of OUV!
