Klirou Bridge is part of the Troodos ophiolite, a 90 million year old fragment of extremely well-preserved oceanic crust. The natural feature shows a classic Lower Pillow Lava outcrop (“veins filling cooling fractures within the lavas”) in an ancient mining area.
