The medieval palace complex of Gorkha is part of the Tentative list of Nepal in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

The medieval palace complex of Gorkha is a landmark built on top of a hill. The building in Newari style is completely fortified. Inside the palace complex lie various Hindu temples. The palace is the birthplace of the king Prithvi Narayan Shah who started the movement of the unification of Nepal.
