The Bhojeshwar Mahadev Temple in Bhopal is a living Hindu temple that has its origins in the Paramara period of the 11th century. It stands out in ancient Hindu temple architecture for its grand size (with a massive lingam) and its intended design following the rules of the architectural treatise written by the Paramara ruler.
