Simien Mountains National Park
Simien Mountains National Park (SMNP) is part of the Tentative list of Ethiopia in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
This is a major boundary modification for the already inscribed Simien WHS. This is in order to reflect the boundary changes of the national park to "secure larger areas of suitable habitat for the Walia ibex and Ethiopian wolf and to protect the entire afro-alpine and afro-montane vegetation communities on a scenic landscape".
