The Site of Angkor Borei and Phnom Da

The Site of Angkor Borei and Phnom Da is part of the Tentative list of Cambodia in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Angkor Borei was the capital of the state of Funan and stood at the beginnings of Khmer civilization. The oldest Khmer inscription was found here. Phnom Da is a nearby mountain where two temples remain on its top and five artificial caves around its base. Their early Khmer architecture was influenced by Indian culture.
