Lake Chad Cultural Landscape (Nigeria) is part of the Tentative list of Nigeria in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

The Lake Chad Cultural Landscape in Nigeria (together with that in Cameroon, Niger and Chad) consists of cultural and natural values. The vast endorheic lake lies in the middle of sand dunes. Dagona Waterfowl Sanctuary in the Bade-Nguru Wetlands is an important area for migrating birds. The lake also holds hundreds of islands, of which a number have been inhabited since prehistory.
