Parque Nacional Cotubanamá

Parque Nacional Cotubanamá is part of the Tentative list of Dominican Republic in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Cotubanamá National Park contains a number of archaeological sites. They are known for their pre-Hispanic rock art and link to the indigenous Taino population. In the waters of the NP, a large group of shipwrecks of the early 16th century has been discovered.
