Hukaung Valley Wildlife Sanctuary
Hukaung Valley Wildlife Sanctuary is part of the Tentative list of Myanmar in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Hukaung Valley Wildlife Sanctuary comprises an exceptionally large forest area that is the habitat for many threatened fauna species including tiger. A large area of seasonally flooded grassland may also be added to the nomination. A part of the site is threatened by gold mining.
