Pehuén co - Monte Hermoso

Geological, Paleontological and Archaeological Provincial Reserve Pehuén co - Monte Hermoso is part of the Tentative list of Argentina in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

The Reserve of Pehuén Co - Monte Hermoso is a coastal environment with sediments deposited before the Great American Biotic Interchange. It holds three notable paleontological sites, where fossils and footprints of various mammals, amphibians and fish have been found. Two archaeological sites present the life of the early hunter-gather societies in the Pampas.
