Vumba Mountain Range is part of the Tentative list of Mozambique in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Vumba Mountain Range is a cultural nomination, being a sacred hill (called Chinhamapare Hill), with hunter-gatherer rock art paintings tucked in a sacred forest. It is an exceptional testimony to the way of life of those hunters-gatherers and the rituals and cosmological traditions.
