Gola Rainforest National Park
Gola Rainforest National Park is a trans-boundary park (Liberia / Sierra Leone) to protect the precious Gola rainforest. The Gola rainforest forests contain high amounts of biomass carbon, which contributes to mediating climate change processes and maintaining biodiversity at a global scale. It is also home to many globally threatened mammals and birds, including Pygmy Hippopotamus and Western Chimpanzee.
