Cuito Cuanavale
Cuito Canavale is a town where the biggest battle against the Apartheid regime of South Africa took place in the 1980’s. It “liberated the continent” and was the prelude to Namibian independence. It also was a Cold War event influenced by the superpowers via the use of proxies (such as Cuba).
