Myanmar

3.22 2 15

Myanmar accepted the UNESCO World Heritage Convention on 29 April 1994. Its inscribed sites are cultural: the ancient Pyu cities and Bagan, celebrated for their archaeological value and medieval Buddhist architecture.

Its tentative list includes both natural (e.g., Hkakabo Razi, Indawgyi Lake) and cultural sites (e.g., Shwedagon Pagoda, cave paintings), reflecting themes of archaeological heritage, sacred landscapes, architectural ingenuity, rich biodiversity, and diverse ecosystems.
