Brunei ratified the UNESCO World Heritage Convention on 12 August 2011. As of now, it has no inscribed World Heritage sites and has not submitted a Tentative List either. While Brunei possesses significant archaeological and cultural assets—such as the Kota Batu Archaeological Park—its UNESCO nominations remain pending.
