A WHS book for my birthday in 2013 commenced my journey and exploration of WHS sites. Work has interfered with much of my passion to date, however this is about to change in 2025 as we retire and embark on a 6-year overseas journey.
We are travelling with our 7-year-old Boston Terrier Dog, Yoki, which will bring about its own challenges, limitations and above all excitement. It is for this reason we will not be visiting South America, Africa or much of Asia on this initial trip. They will be for another day. We will be doing a combination of fast and slow travel as we coordinate our WHS itinerary.
Finding this website, is like finding my tribe and I hope to contribute regularly with reviews for fellow enthusiasts.
I feel very blessed already in my life to having visited 165 WHS sites at the time of registering, so the remaining 1000+ will just be icing on the cake on this journey called life.
We have created a website, where we will be tracking our journey of our trials and tribulations of travelling with a dog and visiting WHS sites. I am not sure who is more excited, my wife, Yoki or me.
We have just started to create our Social Media platform for social followers - Two Bacons and a Boston - YouTube. We will also be running a website, Facebook and Instagram however this will be a mixture of dog travel and general travel not specific to WHS.
My most impressive site: Skellig Michael
My proposal for a new site: Nitmiluk National Park
