I quit my job in April 2017 to travel as much as possible. Since I truly enjoy it, I stretch my budget wherever I can — the less I spend, the longer I can stay on the road.


I also try to minimize flying and prefer staying in locally owned places. It’s a small way to reduce my negative impact on this beautiful planet. It also allows me to travel more slowly and make deeper connections along the way.


Whenever possible, I include UNESCO World Heritage Sites in my travels. I enjoy the challenge of reaching them by local bus or train — and sometimes even by walking or hitchhiking.
