Connections for The Rise of Systematic Biology
The Rise of Systematic Biology
4
The Rise of Systematic Biology" was part of a suggested serial nomination of thirteen sites in eight countries, representing the foundation of the science of systematic biology. The works of Carl Linnaeus are considered as cornerstones in the main foundation of systematic biology.
The parts in Sweden were central for the development of the science carried out by Carl Linnaeus: his initial study site, his garden, research facilities and excursion sites in Uppsala. The different parts complete each other, and together they represent "The Rise of Systematic Biology".
